 Absolutely Useless, Will Not keep Coffee HotMay 03, 2010

I purchased a made in China 1.1 Qt. Stanley Stainless Steel Vacuum Bottle recently from a local department store. It worked great the first time used, but then after approximately 1 month, boiling hot coffee would be lukewarm in less than 2 hours. I contacted Stanley Customer Service and they sent me a new vacuum bottle. Again, this bottle worked great the first couple of times I used it then same as before it now will not keep coffee hot for more than an hour or so. I will never buy another Stanley Product. Save your money don't buy.

Trying to find a replacement for our favorite lost, very old, small mouth 1.1 L. steel thermos bottle, I bought the Stanley 1.1 L bottleent. On a recent boating trip, we filled the Stanley bottle with boiling water at 8am. It was lukewarm by 2pm. We tried it again at home, with similar results. Our old thermos would keep water hot for 24 hours!
We are sorely disappointed.

I can't seem to get the coffee smell/taste out of this bottle! I used it one time for coffee. Then, I decided to use it with hot water for tea. The water smelled and tasted like coffee. I have washed it several times, soaked it with boiling hot water...EVERYTHING! No matter what, the taste/smell will not go away! I would recommend this bottle for people who ONLY want to fill it with coffee!
