I bought this thermos for a fishing trip, to take along hot chocolate in 50 degree weather. I followed the directions to preheat the pot, then added the extremely hot beverage. At 3 hours the hot chocolate was still hot, but not as hot as when I had poured it in. At 5 hours it was lukewarm. Am considering returning it to the store, as I need a product that will hold the heat at least 6 hours.

This product is a piece of crap! Not to mention that it comes from China. It is the epitome of poor workmanship. Our local Bed Bath and Beyond sell this piece of junk too. Unbelievable, but true. The push plunger is very temperamental. if you push down with any amount of uneven pressure or if you should happen to twist the plunger while pushing down (this happens easier than you would think), the plunger will either lock in the down position OR you will have to wiggle it back up so you can push it again. It's JUNK, pure JUNK. If you want a good unit at a comparable cost, I searched for "pump pot" in google and found a few good ones made by BUNN. Also, make sure you get a big enough "pump pot" for a whole pot of coffee. Mine is Bunn 3.0 Liter Lever Action Airpot (Bunn 31230.0000 234321300000) @ $35.99
Far Far superior to the Oggi. No comparison whatsoever. Oggi should pull this product from their lineup and appologise to everyone who bought one and refund their money. Luckily I bought mine through Amazon and they took care of the refund without any hassle whatsoever.

We have enjoyed this product in that it keeps drinks warm longer than our last one. It is a little hsrd to pump, but that's OK.Also, this item is made in the USA. that's a plus.

LOVE it! I took ours camping with my troop. We boiled water the night before and filled the carafe in "hopes" that it might be warm the next morning. It was HOT. As the girls woke up we were able to direct them to hot chocolate while early risers got breakfast going.
I'm now looking to replace mine because the hinge broke when it was knocked of the table on our last trip. I wouldn't buy anything else. Have tried others. This pot is HOT.

This item stopped working after only a few uses. The company responded with a useless email and then will not respond further. I am telling all my friends and family to stay away from this company! :0(
