Works great for my Teavana tea leavesApr 05, 2010
By D. M. Bautista I bought this one which is the same: Thermos Nissan 12-Ounce Stainless-Steel Tea Tumbler with Infuser
My tea stayed hot for a long time, that I had to remove the lid just to let it cool off so that I could drink it over a half hour later. It does actually create a vacuum seal. I removed the lid when I left it in the car, and there was a pressure-change...like when you first open a bottled jar of food and the freshness lid pops. Oh, and because the temperature is maintained really well, I ended up scalding my tea that it became bitter, so brewing quickly is something to time well.
I love using this, though there is one downfall I'm finding. The only con that I'm finding with this design is that after brewing your tea in the filter attachment, now you have this filter that you've got laying/porting around while you're drinking out of the thermos. I guess I could avoid that by brewing in advance, and it's like that with all other tea brewers of needing to remove and lay around the filter at some point. Not a deal breaker for me. Wish it could all store together as a single unit. You cannot store it with the sipper and the filter and lid at the same time. It's either the sipper and lid, or the filter and lid. I choose to store with the filter and lid to protect the filter from getting banged up and bent.
It's a sleek and slim design. So as a woman, it's nice that its comfortably held in my grip and not clumsy. When brewing tea, I'm noticing that you can only use 10-11 ounces of water. Using the 12 ounces overfills it.

the best travle mug EVER. hands down.Nov 24, 2009
By Sandy Lemen This is absolutely the greatest travel coffee/tea tumbler EVER made. It truly keeps hot drinks HOT (for 4-6 hours!) and cold drinks COLD. It is virtually indestructable and has never leaked (even when thrown in a backpack). I just love it. This is my third one. The first was even run over by a car (and still worked great) but was left with my ex. The second was taken over by my step-father and FINALLY (5 years later) I found one here at a decent price and treated myself to my long lost friend. Nissan. :o)
the ONLY thing I wish -- is that it was larger (16-22 oz). It only holds 12 oz. and that is my only complaint about this trooper of a mug.

Cumbersome Tea TumblerJan 19, 2012
By Florida The tumbler was to small cumbersome and not user friendly as described in the reviews. Unable to drink from the tumbler without removing infuser. Would not recommend this product.
